A PAGE JUST FOR KIDS!

I hope to have this be a page where kids can learn about dairy farming.
Whether it be through videos, coloring pages, games, or recommended movies and books, this will be the place to go for fun and educational activities about dairy farming.
(I'm always looking to add to this page so if you have any recommendation, please contact me via the contact form. Thank-you!)

VIDEOS

Below is a super cute video about dairy farming. My 18 month old granddaughter was entranced, watched it all the way through! A fun way to show your young children (or grandchildren!) how milk gets from the cow to the store!
Know where your food comes from!
Thank-you WA Dairy Farmers for the video!

For Kids:  The Miracle of Milk

Watch on YouTube -  Miracle of Milk Playlist   - published by Agricomm
I found this fun series of educational videos produced by the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. While there are some differences between dairy farming in Canada and the U.S. there are still enough similarities to make this series worthwhile watching, especially for children who have no connection with farming.

Books

Big Red Barn
A Dorling Kindersley book

Although BarnYard Dance remains our Granddaughter's favorite, Big Red Barn is a close 2nd!  With animal sounds behind doors begging to be opened, your child is certain to love this book! While I prefer slightly smaller chunky books to make it easier for little hands to hold, our granddaughter manages just fine sitting on the floor with the book in her lap.

Barnyard Dance & Moo, Baa, La La La! by Sandra Boynton

Great kids books by Sandra Boynton
i think any book by Sandra Boynton would be a great kids book but these are the two that we have and love. There's always a sense of rhythm that you just naturally fall into when reading these. Plus, check out her website at SandraBoynton.com for lots of extra fun goodies, including downloadable music like below!!
