VIDEOS
Below is a super cute video about dairy farming. My 18 month old granddaughter was entranced, watched it all the way through! A fun way to show your young children (or grandchildren!) how milk gets from the cow to the store!

Thank-you WA Dairy Farmers for the video!

For Kids: The Miracle of Milk

I found this fun series of educational videos produced by the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. While there are some differences between dairy farming in Canada and the U.S. there are still enough similarities to make this series worthwhile watching, especially for children who have no connection with farming.

Big Red Barn
A Dorling Kindersley book

Although BarnYard Dance remains our Granddaughter's favorite, Big Red Barn is a close 2nd! With animal sounds behind doors begging to be opened, your child is certain to love this book! While I prefer slightly smaller chunky books to make it easier for little hands to hold, our granddaughter manages just fine sitting on the floor with the book in her lap.
